Get to meet Matthew Londei - our Customer Success Manager and one of the most helpful people around at BIM Track. We talk to him about what makes him tick, his Star Wars obsession and why he absolutely loves working with customers at BIM Track.
What 3 words would you use to describe your role?
Questions. Learning. Fun.What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?
I spend a lot of time with onboarding sessions for new clients, and no two sessions are the same. There’s a flow of questions on both sides, with me trying to understand the needs of new clients and what they expect out of BIM Track in their daily workflow. That allows me to tailor my onboarding sessions to their exact requirements. If there are questions that I’m unable to answer, I reach out to the dev team and educate myself so that I’m able to help in every way possible. Answering and asking questions is a huge part of my day-to-day.
Right now I am working on creating public onboarding sessions, which we hope will be a great learning tool for corporate clients with new hires, and anyone who needs a little refresher. I also work on creating fresh content and updating older help center videos on our YouTube channel.
What is your biggest achievement to date - personal or professional?
My biggest personal and professional achievement to date was getting married, starting at BIM Track and buying my very own home - all in this past year!
It was a huge career change for me. I’m a very hands-on guy and I used to work in the construction industry with a background in welding, construction, and electrical work before I came to BIM Track. I suffered a back injury that shifted me into commercial & residential drafting, and that was my first introduction to BIM. I soon realized I had a real knack for it thanks to my previous experience.
What do you think about when you’re alone in your car?
I usually work from home so I don’t sit in the car too often. When I do, I’m usually thinking about taking long trips with my wife on my Kawasaki KLR-650 touring bike. That, and what home improvements I can work on. I like to DIY and I’ve already constructed a wooden office table and bar in my home. Fun fact - I used BIM to help me generate cut lists and visualize how the bar would fit in my space!
I must add that I’m a huge Star Wars nut and I have tattoos to prove it. I can’t stop thinking about the next Star Wars tattoo that I’m going to get.
What are you passionate about?
If I wasn’t working in the BIM industry, I’d pursue my passion for woodworking, and it’s probably what I’ll do once I retire.
M Makes complicated explanations easy to understand.
A Always willing and eager to assist.
T Takes the extra step when it comes to customer satisfaction.

E Enthusiastic when presenting and in his love for BIM.

What do you like best about working at BIM Track?
I really enjoy being able to use my knowledge to help people. Whether it’s onboarding individuals or a large group of people, I like to make their lives easier. It’s my personal goal to always deliver in a way that is engaging, fun and gets people excited about the possibilities of not just BIM Track, but the whole coordination ecosystem. I always want to hear feedback on our software and to make sure our clients understand the benefits of the tools and platforms they’re using. The best part of the job is when you know people are engaged and enjoying themselves with BIM Track.
