Just recently, our co-founder and VP of Product Carl Veillette was featured on the 10th episode of the Construction Progress Coalition’s #SharedPains Podcast, joined by Kelly Cone from ClearEdge3D, Todd Wynne and Joe Williams from BlueBeam along with show host Sasha Reed, show producer Dan Smolilo and thought leader Nathan Wood.
The group talks about the digitization of the construction industry, and the various file formats that make the ongoing transition possible and how they can be improved. They also talk about the value of creating ways that allow this digitized building information to flow freely from one medium to another, unifying teams with diverse skill sets in the process in a time and cost efficient manner - such as through hypermodeling. The notion of a common data environment or CDE on a construction project and the utility of tools that help in creating, exchanging and presenting information were discussed as well.
