BIM Track January 2020 Release

January 08, 2020 2 min. read

A new year brings with it a new release for BIM Track (happy New Year, by the way!). Our January release includes the option to ignore clash groups of over 100, the ability to install BIM Track for all users on a single computer, and support for Tekla Structures 2019i.

Ignore Navisworks clash groups of over 100 clashes

Previously, BIM Track would not allow you to publish any clash tests as BIM Track issues, if one of the clash groups contained over 100 clashes. Now, we give you the option to ignore these clash tests (you’ll see the yield symbol next to it beforehand as shown below) so the rest of your groups will still be published as BIM Track issues. Check out our help center article for more on publishing Navisworks clashes to BIM Track issues.

By the way, you can make large clash lists more manageable by using our clash grouping feature.

We have a blog post covering clash grouping coming out next week too, so make sure you’re signed up for our news.

Naviswork Clash to Issue Setting

BIM Track for multi-user install

The ability to install BIM Track for all users on a single computer is crucial for large organizations because it helps deployment in virtual environments and for silent deployment. We’re happy to share that BIM Track add-ins for Revit, Navisworks, etc. can now be deployed easily company-wide. This feature, which works in conjunction with major silent deployment software programs, makes it lightning-quick to onboard an entire team and makes sure that said team stays up-to-date with our latest releases.

Support for Tekla Structures 2019i

We are happy to announce support for Tekla Structures’ latest version, 2019i. BIM Track and Tekla make for a powerful combination, allowing you to report and view issues directly in the model

We’re always striving to improve BIM Track, so make sure you don’t miss the latest news, blog posts, and more by signing up here.
