BIM One & BuildingSP: Integration Partners for Clash Detection Workflows

September 13, 2017 2 min. read

The BIM One team is thrilled to announce that we have partnered with BuildingSP to integrate our clash detection and issue management solutions so that architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) users can better leverage the tremendous benefits both of our technologies offer clients.

BIM One and BuildingSP are both companies that are working hard to innovate and improve the pre-construction process in building information modeling (BIM). BuildingSP created ClashMEP, the only real-time and dynamic clash-detection tool for Autodesk Revit. Model clashes are immediately shown to users as they model in Revit. This means fewer clash issues because they can be resolved immediately without leaving the Revit platform. In a single click, unresolved clashes can be exported into the BIM Track® issue management platform. The clash is then tracked within BIM Track, where a host of tools, including reports, metrics, and a web viewer enable the clashes to be managed in a systematic way across users, teams, projects, and organizations. The combination of real-time clash detection in Revit and one-click issue tracking provides a fast and easy way to manage the entire clash detection process. BIM Track also extends into Tekla and Navisworks, providing a flexible solution to enable a cross-platform communication channel and bidirectional integration into Revit.

The BIM One and BuildingSP partnership demonstrates how companies in the same industry—clash detection and issue tracking—can work together in a seamless way to provide unprecented value to our clients. Our companies could have chosen to directly compete with each other. Instead, this collaboration between two innovative, like-minded AEC startups will quickly and effectively help projects and professionals in the architecture, engineering and construction industry every day.

BIM One and BuildingSP are now working to extend our integration even further. Stay tuned for further developments!
