You can’t miss Naomi in the office. When she isn’t teasing the team or keeping them on their toes, she’s working full steam ahead turning ideas into real features.
What three words would you use to describe your role?
Challenged, and challenging others.
What does a typical day look like for you and what are you currently working on?
Putting Carl’s [our product owner and CTIO] visionary ideas to paper is a big part. I turn an idea into a development specification, complete with the context: if we add this or change that, what will it affect? I’m constantly switching though, from testing our next release in production, validating bug fixes or answering questions on dev specs.
Right now I am working with Carl on something really exciting that will take us to a whole new level next year.
What do you think about when you’re alone in your car?
I think a lot about my little family: my son and my partner. It’s also a nice time to look back on the workday, especially the funny parts. I like to tease the team and keep them on their toes.
What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?
Honestly? My complete life. I’ve worked hard to get to where I am now and I am proud of who I am on both a personal and professional level. And I try to pay that forward, in all aspects of my life. Helping others feels good.
What are you passionate about?
Outside of work, I really enjoy working on my motorcycle, a KTM Sport Racing. I take pride in taking care of all the maintenance myself on this, as well as my car.
What do you like best about working at BIM Track?
The feeling that we can change things. All ideas are good ones here. Even as we have grown exponentially lately, good ideas are implemented fast.
I also really enjoy being a leader. It’s fun making decisions and pushing them through to the end. The upper management team have confidence in my skills and give me the freedom to get things done.
