BIM Track heads to BILT ANZ 2020

We’re looking forward to seeing our Aussie mates (and making new ones!) at BILT ANZ 2020 in Sydney from June 18th to the 20th. We love seeing so many industries represented and can’t wait to catch up on the latest practices in the digital built environment.

There are over 100 classes to choose from, but some of our not-to-miss classes include:

Managing digital project delivery
or the stakeholders: Making it real

by Richard Kuppusamy from Lendlease.

This masterclass in implementing and managing BIM across a 160mil sqm mixed-use land development will discuss stakeholder communication strategies, strategies for getting subcontractors coordinating in BIM (Music to our ears!), and tips and tricks for delivering real value that construction managers can buy into.

The Robot revolution:
The future in architecture and construction

by Ivan Jiminez from haascookzemmrich STUDIO2050.

We aren’t talking hypotheticals here: Ivan will share case studies of companies in Germany and beyond that have adopted robotics, 3D printing and more for construction (you had us at robot 🤖).

BCS: BIM Content: Manufacturers vs generic
The War is Over

by Kristian Bursell from CADSWIFT,
and
Quinton Cooper from Cottee Parker Architects
.

Thank goodness for that! This session will demonstrate a new method of creating BIM content that has been 7 years in the making, with perspectives from both the manufacturer and Architect who worked on this method.

Innovative Digital solution for signal and signage sighting in infrastructure projects

by Dimas Novais and Daniel Moodie from GHD.

We’re curious to see what the team at GHD has to share on creating a fully digital solution for infrastructure Signal & Signage Sighting, with custom workflows integrated into Desktop & VR platforms.

BIMBeats - capture, analyse and automate your organisation’s AEC data in realtime

by Matt Wash from BVN,
and
Adam Sheather from Bad Monkeys
.

The industry is buzzing about BIMBeats: find out what all the fuss is about. Plus who knows what sort of integrations they might have by May!

Dashing through the data

by Jasper Wong from Warren and Mahoney,
and
Cherry Man from Aurecon.

Not another Power BI class. These two power users will take you though automating your BIM project reporting needs, including automating data collection from Revit, Tableau, and ok, a slice of Power BI. In a unique format, the presentation will be followed by a panel discussion where the panel really shows what these teams are working on + answer your burning questions.

A process-driven approach to design
coordination to harness structured data

by Tyrone Padayachee and William McKinlay
from
Richard Crookes Construction
.

A different take on managing our digital expectations versus delivery, tackling procurement, optimising design coordination and information management & more.

With so many awesome classes to choose from, we recommend you register ASAP! You can browse the full schedule here and start planning your itinerary.

You can find Dave Allard, Carl Storms, and Carl Veillette at the BIM Track booth, so be sure to stop by and chat about your coordination processes. We had a great time last year and look forward to it seeing you in Sydney 😎.
