As active members of the CanBIM community, we’re proud to be attending CanBIM Toronto 2019 from September 25th-26th.
The Toronto session this year features presentations and a special panel revolving around affordable housing for the future through BIM and other technologies.
We’re particularly looking forward to the following sessions:
- Clash Management for Designers / Best Practices for Design-Phase Clash Management. by Yiğit Karanfil, Design Technology Specialist at DIALOG. Yiğit will be sharing best practice for design-phase clash detection - a must-attend for all expertise levels.
- New Technology, Same Risks? by Andrea Lee: Partner at Glaholt LLP, Catherine MacInnis: Associate General Counsel at IBI Group, Jason Lewis: Senior Legal Counsel at WSP Canada and Peter Dempster: National Director, Commercial and Performance Security at AON Canada. The group will take a look into the legal and cybersecurity implications of using BIM technologies

- Unlocking Affordability Through Innovation by Annie Koo, Associate Director of Development at Sidewalk Labs, taking a look at the planned-development of the Toronto Waterfront, a partnership between Waterfront Toronto and Sidewalk Labs
- Ohio State University’s Transition to BIM, by Joe Porostosky Director, Facilities Information and Technology Services at The Ohio State University, and Peter Constanzo, Director of Facilities Management at IMAGINiT Technologies.
